Call it Awesome–501

Call it a place for Gen Nexters, a place to be real, a place to participate, a place to develop community, a place to have fun. Call it 501. This past Thursday night, the Warehouse saw the launching of Fellowship’s newest ministry—501. According to Rory Yates, an intern for 501, this new avenue of ministry wants to fill the gap for those who may not know where or how to plug into the life of the church. 501 is focused on any young adult-regardless of marital status-who is seeking an authentic, life-giving community of believers.

This large group gathering, known as the Refinery, will meet every other Thursday nights at the Warehouse. It features worship and teaching by Mike High, the lead pastor for 501. The Refinery is the place to begin and deepen friendships, to participate in worship, and to dig deep into God’s word.

Beginning October 1, on alternating Thursdays, The Blob will launch as 501’s vehicle to build into each other’s lives through small groups. The Blob will provide a place for young adults to build an intimate community, perhaps for the first time. It is structured around the sharing of life and the study of God’s word to encourage the growth of authenticity.

But will it be fun, you ask? Yea-huh!! Be on the lookout for Disc Day, Mike High’s Beast Feast, and the FBC Plasma Car Grand Nationals. Also check out the 501Facebook Group, Twitter account, and Fellowship501.com to stay current and make that 501 connection: to one another, to Christ, and to others. Join the 501 process to be equipped and unleashed to live an irresistible life of love and service.
