Fellowship Young Adults
The life that is promised to us in Jesus is a life better than anything else we’re living. As Fellowship Young Adults, we want to live that life together: let’s get to it.
Our Vision: To be a movement in our city among young adults where people are finding new life through small group communities that are living intentionally to bless our city with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
God makes Himself known through two primary ways: His word and His people. In Fellowship Young Adults, those means come together in small group communities we call Discipleship Groups, or D Groups.
Young Adult D Groups
D Groups are about relationships, not events; however, if we’re not intentionally planning to spend time with one another, the business of life can make “together” impossible to achieve.
Here's what D Groups do:
Weekly Family Gatherings
Each D Group gathers weekly at a consistent time and place somewhere in the city. The goal of this weekly gathering is to learn how following Jesus shapes every element of every day. This may happen over a meal, by praying for each other, talking about the Bible or discussing a Sunday sermon – whatever the D Group needs.
A Transformation Team is a group of two or three people who commit to meet in addition to their small group. This is the place to study the Bible deeply and to be known deeply by one another. Discipleship requires faith, andTransformation Teams help one another fight for our faith. Following Jesus is not easy. Discipleship requires faith, and faith is a fight, we use ourTransformation Teams to help one another struggle well.
The vision for each Young Adult D Group is to follow God’s example and command by going into our city to share the good news about Jesus Christ. We go by building genuine friendships within specific neighborhoods or networks of people in our city. Being part of a neighborhood or network allows a D Group to love people, talk about Jesus, and to demonstrate how the good news of Jesus empowers the lives we live together.
