Read Hebrews 11:1-12:3
- In Genesis and Hebrews 11, the Biblical authors provide accounts of a flawless God working through flawed people. We see how God sovereignly works for the good of His people and for His glory. How are you inspired by their faith? How do you identify with their weaknesses?
- One of the key points in Brandon’s message was, “the same grace that God has supplied to the great cloud of witnesses He supplies to us today.” In what ways does this encourage your faith?
- Since we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, the writer of Hebrews encourages us to lay aside any weight (even good things) or sin that would hinder us in running the race set before us. What do you need to lay aside in order to run your race?
- In the story of his opportunity to fly an F16 flight simulator, Brandon illustrated the importance of focusing on the gauges. To run the race before us with endurance, we need to “focus on the gauges” by looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. What changes do you need to make to help you focus on Him?
