I became a Christ-follower at the age of 15. I had not grown up in a Christian family, but when a school friend invited me to go to church with her, I accepted her invitation. Her pastor shared the Gospel story with me, and by God’s grace, I believed it and I gave my life to Christ. And that decision forever changed my life. From the beginning of my Christian journey, I was “all in.” I told the Lord that I would go wherever He wanted me to go and do whatever He wanted me to do.
I grew quickly in my faith during my high school years. While attending Louisiana Tech University, I became a student leader in the Campus Crusade for Christ ministry on our campus. I met my husband, Barry, on a summer mission project with CCC. After graduation, Barry and I were married and joined the staff of CCC to serve full-time on college campuses. We continued working with CCC for 25 years, the last 7 of those years was with FamilyLife here in Little Rock.
After we left FamilyLife staff, Barry continued to work full-time with several other ministries, and in 2002 I joined the staff at Fellowship. During my first eight years on staff, I was a pastoral Administrative Assistant. I have been the Café Manager since 2010 and I love serving the church body in this capacity.
We have attended Fellowship since we first moved to Little Rock in 1990, and have raised our children here. We now have two grown sons, one grown daughter, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law and five grandchildren.
My hope for Fellowship is that God’s spirit will fill this place and the hearts of all who worship Him here. I pray that Jesus Christ will be our “first love” and that we will passionately follow Him.
