I was born in Chicago into a strong, Christian family. I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior at the young age of five. Our family moved to Arkansas during my junior high years to be closer to my grandparents, and when I was 16, my dad, who was my best friend and hero, died of a massive brain aneurysm. My life seemed to fall apart, but I knew that God had me in the palm of His hand, and He became the Father I so desperately needed.
After Bible college and graduate school, I married and had three wonderful sons. “We” were in the military, so our lives included frequent moves around the world and across the US, as well as traumatic events, including illness, the death of a close family member, substance abuse, depression, broken relationships with children, and divorce. Through it all, God was my strength, my ROCK, my security, my provider, and my comforter. I knew His word was true, and He would never leave me nor forsake me. It was during those very dark times I completely submitted my will into the very capable hands and control of the Father and I trusted Him completely to accomplish His plan for my life.
I have been attending Fellowship for over 25 years, and my life has been blessed by the godly influences from my women’s Bible study groups, community groups, and Biblical teaching. God brought me a wonderful, godly husband, and we enjoy ministry together, as well as sweet grandchildren.
My heart for Fellowship is that when our guests drive onto this campus that they will feel the presence of the living God, and know that this is a place where they are welcomed and accepted, just the way they are. My prayer is that those who come with a broken heart, burdens, pain, loneliness, and without hope, will be touched by the Holy Spirit and know that they are loved by the Father. I pray for lives to be changed by the power of God, and for those who are hopeless to find hope in Jesus Christ. He has radically changed my life and brought my life up out of the pit, and being Jesus with skin on to those who are longing to know Him, is my way of thanking Him for His awesome mercy and grace in my life.
