I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (where yes, I de-tasseled corn in the summers!)
I worked in banking in Chicago for 21 years.
I’m thrilled to again work in the finance area, where I have the most wonderful bosses in the city! Paperwork does not argue or complain, so my job is also wonderfully peaceful.
I graduated from Texas Christian University and then earned my MBA from Benedictine University in Chicago.
My husband and I have 5 children, ages 21 to 11. The oldest graduated from college, and the youngest has Down Syndrome so is still tackling Kindergarten work. Four out of five children were/are homeschooled, so I try to stay connected within the homeschool community by teaching a high school English course at one of the formal co-ops.
Is coffee considered a food??
God pursued me relentlessly, but I didn’t stop running from Him until age 32. I realized I was literally killing myself in my efforts to escape my inner lack of peace; I had nowhere else to turn except upward.
I’m actually an introvert. I “gear up” to be social when I need to be, but I require alone time to refuel.
