I was born in California but raised in Texas. I lived in blended families so there was always a lot going on and nothing was routine. I am grateful that because of the diversity of my family and the wide range of their beliefs I learned about many belief systems. Our family was very open and accepting of any belief as long as it connected you to God and love. That seemed fine until one day in Jr. High I became drawn to and enamored with Jesus Christ. He alone was the treasure I was looking for, and I was willing to give up everything to have a relationship with Him. The moment I surrendered my life and became a Christ-follower, the trajectory of my life changed dramatically. It was a process, but the Lord filled me, transformed me, and gave me a vision for people both near and far.
In High School, I met the girl that would eventually become my wife and we both ended up at Ouachita Baptist University. We married as soon as I finished college and we weren’t into seminary two years before we had our first daughter. Since then God has blessed us with three more wonderful children that are a huge light in my life. For the past 15 years I have had the privilege of ministering to students are recently the Lord broadened my vision for the whole family and I became the Pastor of Families. I have been at Fellowship for over six years and love the people, the mission, and vision of our church!
My hope for Fellowship is that God would truly transform this church and community like only He can. And as we make disciples their families will change as well as their communities. When He changed me, that impact was felt by my friends and family and is still impacting others 25 years later. My prayer is this would be the fruit of changed lives at Fellowship!
