I grew up in Conway, Arkansas home of the Wampus Cats!
My first job ever was working with an elementary school custodian during the summer. We repainted classrooms, scraped glue and gum off of desks, and moved classroom furniture.
I love watching our students begin to really own their faith. Whether it’s wrestling with faith questions or passionately worshipping next to their peers, I get to have a front row seat at what God is doing in the hearts of the next generation.
I graduated from University of Central Arkansas.
Both of my parents were teachers and coaches in Conway where they still live. I have a younger brother who coaches football and softball at Maumelle High School. I enjoy running, hanging out with friends, traveling to new places and listening to boy bands from any era.
My favorite food is movie theater popcorn! I have been known to walk into a movie theater, buy popcorn, and walk out without seeing a movie.
I grew up going to church and hearing about Jesus at a young age. When I was twelve a group called The Power Team came to our church and did a one night performance. They bent rebar and ripped phone books in half all while sharing the Gospel ☺. As they shared the Gospel that night, I went home and told my parents that I finally understood what I had been hearing in church each week. That was the beginning of my relationship with Christ.
I have a huge fear of glitter. The only time I will touch glitter is when hanging my Christmas tree ornaments each year, and even then, I use gloves!
